About Kate

Kate Veremeenko is a Clinical Psychologist who supports clients navigating the emotional, relational, and identity shifts that accompany the transition to parenthood. Her approach is warm and practical, helping clients understand how their early experiences and attachment patterns shape the way they cope and connect with others, especially during periods of stress, overwhelm, or change.

Kate works with adults experiencing relationship pressures, adjustment to motherhood and parenthood, anxiety, identity changes, and the modern-day challenge of balancing parenting, work, relationships, and personal wellbeing. She understands that even capable, high-functioning women can feel overwhelmed or not quite themselves during big life transitions, and she offers a non-judgemental space to make sense of these feelings.

Kate particularly enjoys supporting clients who want to build greater self-awareness, resilience, and self-compassion as they navigate the invisible load of parenting, shifting roles, and the pressure to hold everything together. She aims to help clients gain clarity, feel more grounded, and approach life with a clearer sense of direction and a calmer inner world.

Kate's Approach

Kate's work is attachment-informed and evidence-based, helping clients understand patterns in how they think, feel, cope, and relate to others—especially during stress, overwhelm, and major life transitions. Her aim is to create a warm, thoughtful space where clients can develop greater self-awareness and build more sustainable ways of navigating life's challenges.

Areas of Support

Motherhood and postpartum adjustment

The transition into motherhood can bring unexpected emotional shifts, self-doubt, and pressure to cope with everything at once. Kate supports women in understanding these changes and finding steadier ground as they adjust to the realities of parenting.

Anxiety and overwhelm

Anxiety can show up as constant worry, racing thoughts, irritability, or a sense that life feels harder than it should. Therapy focuses on understanding the patterns that drive anxiety and developing practical ways to feel calmer and more in control.

Identity shifts and life transitions

Major life changes can quietly reshape how we see ourselves and our place in the world. Kate works with clients to make sense of these shifts and reconnect with a clearer sense of who they are and where they are heading.

Relationship pressures

Periods of stress often place strain on relationships with partners, family members, or friends. Therapy can help unpack recurring patterns, improve communication, and create space for healthier connection.

Emotional wellbeing and self-understanding

Many people find themselves repeating emotional patterns they do not fully understand. Therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, explore these patterns, and develop greater self-awareness and self-compassion.

Balancing parenting, work, and personal needs

Modern life often requires women to juggle competing roles and responsibilities while carrying the invisible load of family life. Kate helps clients step back from this pressure, clarify what matters most, and build more sustainable ways of coping.
